Tasman Church has for many years been involved with local and overseas missions. The primary missions we support are:
The Fleitas Family (Paraguay)
Francisco and Joanna, along with their children Melanie and Benji, faithfully serve their community in Colonia Friesland, working particularly with young people.
The CDLA (Democratic Republic of Congo)
Our church members Geoff and CarolAnne Paynter have traveled to the Congo several times. Geoff has helped hospitals in the city of Lubumbashi install solar panels to help run their facilities. Geoff has also developed church leadership training courses in multiple African languages specifically suited to the cultural context of the Congolese people.
CDLA stands for Centre de Developpement des Leaders Chretiens Autochtones in French which translates to Aboriginal Christian Leadership Development Center
Murray & Joy Stevenson (Democratic Republic of Congo)
Murray and Joy work closely with the CDLA and the Congolese people.
